Canon 5D Mk II, EF 24-105mm IS USM, 65mm, f13, 1/40 Sec, ISO 500. Moffat ranch is a beautiful oasis on the western side of the Owens valley snuggled against the sierra nevada mountains. (Mt. Williamson in prominient view) Travelling north from Lone Pine, Ca it is about 5-6 miles. If you don't see the sign on the right side of highway 395 and continue on you will come to Manzanar, Ca. Turn around and go back. Or if you want to get a view made famous by Ansel Adams go to Manzanar. The eastern sierra nevada mountains provide a stunning sunrise backdrop for the multi-colored foliage, grasses and cottonwoods of Moffat ranch.
