I took this photo of the city skyline from the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in Portland Maine while on a trip taking photos of lighthouses around New England. It was one of my favorites despite the long, arduous trek over the stony breakwater. With this photo, I wanted to capture the elements of the architecture of the building as well as the water and skyline beyond. I used a Nikon D3200 camera and Tamron 18-270mm lens at 18mm. Camera settings: f/14, 1/80 sec. ISO-100. I converted the image to black & white for the low-light noir effect and did some adjustments to exposure. Photo by: Marjorie Stevenson
