I shot this with no filter and with my Nikon D7000 on a tripod and used a shutter release. I gauged my exposure by the histogram. I slightly underexposed the image to get the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background.

This was shot along the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC, as a storm started to leave the area.
