While living in a small town in Michigan I have always been fascinated by the amount of abandoned and decaying-looking buildings. Many are empty and come off as "dead-looking". This inspired to me create this image titled LIFE. Within this image I have brought a building back to life through the use of body parts which interact with the building to create a surrealistic scene. I want viewers to look at this usually ignored buildings as it stares right back through the use of eyes on the ground.
I used a Canon Ftb film camera to capture all of the images separately. I then develop the 35mm film and make prints of all of the images. I then cut the images out by hand and tape them together to create the surrealistic scene. Once the scene has been created I photograph if with a Canon T2i resulting in the final print.
