Laurel Creek Falls is a gorgeous waterfall in a series of falls near New River Gorge in West Virginia. This roadside waterfall is fairly easy to locate, but not extremely easy to get to. However the views are more than worth the climb down! This shot was made in the late morning hours, as the sun was cresting the hills and just coming down on top of the falls. Shooting in the morning hours at this location is this prime time, as it allows the light to remain even throughout shooting. This was shot with a Canon 6D and Tamron 24-70mm VC lens, using a Lee Big Stopper for the long exposure.
