A "boneyard" of fallen trees succumbing to a shifting shoreline can be found on the northeast corner of Jekyll Island, Georgia. I love walking among them pre-sunrise and when the tide is high some of the trees appear to be rising from the ocean. Many times I use a very long exposure to soften the ocean waves in order to add to the pleasing pastel colors before sunrise and to provide a soft contrast to the jagged tree.
