There are many very good pro beach volleyball players from countries besides the US and Brazil. One very good Italian team played against a top US team where there were 2 very tall players, one on each side. Sometimes a ball winds up directly above the net where both players can contact the ball simultaneously. This is called a joust. Since I was located fairly high up in the stands, I was able to get a great angle on the face of the US player (Jake Gibb).
