In November 2017 I spent two full days shooting pictures of bald eagles at the Conowingo dam in Darlington, Maryland. I was looking for this exact shot. An American Bald Eagle flying at eye level heading to the trees with his catch. I was using a Nikon D5300 and the Sigma Contemporary 150mm-600mm lens. My settings were 1/1250 second at ISO 500, f7.1 at 600mm. Patience and persistence pays off!
