A city is a living, breathing organism that sees, tastes, smells, hears, and touches, experiencing life through the people that populate it. Whatever the time of day, or night, someone is awake, someone is laughing, someone is crying, someone feels pain, or joy, or confusion, someone is living and someone is dying. A city never sleeps.

This is just a small bit of prose that comes to mind when I try to describe what this photograph represents to me. Those were actually the thoughts going through my mind as I photographed the fire trucks racing past me.
