Where I live in the south Okanagan of BC Canada we have a lot of migrating birds including the Western Bluebird. I watched this pair of Bluebirds check out a potential home for their upcoming family and captured this photo of the male and female hovering just in front of the bird house entrance and it appeared that they were checking this place out for their seasonal home and to raise their young. In fact over time they did. They did spend a lot of time all around this property making sure it was right for them. Camera was a Canon 5D Mk III with the Canon 500mm f4 lens on a tripod. Settings for this photo as follows. Aperture was 5.6, speed was at 1/2000 sec and ISO was at 800.
