My husband and I were vacationing in the North Carolina mountains when we came upon a an old homeplace that was also a family car graveyard. Besides this old VW Beetle was an old El Camino, Firebird, Mustang and Camaro. They were all rusty with trees and weeds growing around them.
I spent several years of high school riding with school and back home with a friend who owned a Beetle Bug that looked just like this one. There was no heater, except for the engine, and no air conditioner, except for the windows. So many people who have seen this photo have said, "Oh, I had one just like that".
Equipment: Canon t4i with Tamron 18 x 270 lens.
