Walking around a retention pond one Spring evening, I spotted this great blue heron that looked like it would make for an interesting subject. As I worked my way towards it, taking advantage of differing angles, it took off and flew straight towards me. As it approached, I used the AF-C of my Nikon D5200 to shoot a series of shots. This was one that really impressed me. Other than some minor adjustments to brightness, contrast, and saturation, there were no changes made using software.
