My family and I regularly camp in the Eastern Sierra Mountains; this image is one of my first taken on our three week RV trip. Normally when hiking we head west towards the high peaks and alpine lakes but this early morning I wanted to head towards the sun. While hiking we could smell that familiar musky scent that hovers around a bear like the dirt around Pigpen on Charlie Brown and we knew there was one near by. I used a Sony A7II with a Sony FE 70-200, 1/160 @ f/5.0 and ISO 200. I had a tripod but didn’t use it.
