This image is basically a plain snapshot, and the main attraction here is the context. It was taken on the Hudson waterfront in Jersey City, in the heart of what is now called "Second Wall Street". The area is full of high rise towers, occupied by the largest financial institutions of the world (Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, etc.), while the "real" Wall Street is directly across the river. And in the midst of all this a couple of geese decided to raise their family!
It was lunch time and hundreds of people were walking along the Hudson promenade, but the geese did not care. Don't know who put the container with water under the bench - obviously some kind soul. I did not plan to do any serious photography during that short lunch break, but had a point and shoot Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 with me just in case, and could not miss the opportunity to capture this quite adorable view.
