Hanging Glacier on Mt. Shuksan catches the last rays of the setting sun at dusk on 13 September 2014. The sun had already dipped below the ridge line behind me putting the lake and foreground in shadow but was lighting the mountain beautifully. Mt. Shuksan is located in the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest area of the North Cascades of Washington State, USA to the east of Mt. Baker. This view is from the northwestern bank of Highwood Lake near the Chalet at Mt. Baker on S.R. 542 (Mt. Baker Highway) just below Artists Point.
