The Hagia Sofia in Istanbul is an astounding 6th Century architectural monument. On the day I took this shot, the bright light outside streamed through the many windows, providing good light and shadow contrasts. The people in the picture give a sense of the enormous scale of the building. A black and white version of the picture speaks to the timelessness of this remarkable interior space.
