This photo of a Great White Egret taking off was taken at Commonwealth Lake Park in suburban Beaverton in Oregon. Hand held, I used a Nikon D 7100 with a Sigma Zoom Lens (150-500 mm.). The ISO was 2000, F/10, and a 1/8000th second exposure. My aim was to capture the grace of this large bird in flight.
