I was hiking along the Appalachian Trail in Grayson Highlands State Park when I finally ran into the wild ponies, now I have been here a bunch and I have seen them time and time again. I hadn't seen any all morning and I was wondering were they were, then I came around the bend and saw the first one of the day grazing. Being a landscape photographer primarily, I wanted to work him into the landscape and make him part of the larger picture rather than just the sole subject.
