I have always been attracted to these stone pylons that warn visitors of a cliff just to their left at the Gooseberry Falls State Park picnic area on Lake Superior's north shore. I was camping in the park last October and went to this spot one chilly morning to try and catch the sunrise. It had rained during the night, adding some definition to the rocks. Broken clouds that were remnants of the night time rainshowers provided a spectacular palette for the rising sun.
