This shot shows both sides of the dance...The dancer basking in the light on stage - the choreographer hiding in the shadows in the wings. As choreographers/teachers, we really have 2 sets of children - the dances we create and the dancers who perform. We place our babies together and hope they will understand and nurture one another. In the end, as we watch from the wings, we see our babies come together and take flight.
