Visiting the gardens around Monet's home, I saw the perfect tulip...vibrant in the diffuse light of the gray, rainy day. I duplicated it in Photoshop, and added the gradient backgrounds, tree trunks and planting holes. Had Monet seen this tulip, I'm confident that he would have been momentarily distracted from his water lilies.
Taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF85mm lens at 1/180 sec, F16, ISO 800.
