This image a part of a series captured on a trail run from Gunsight Pass to Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. A mother mountain goat and her baby were making their way up the trail as we descended the switchbacks over the pass. We yielded to the pair, but the mother took a keen interest in us and continued our way up the scree field. I literally shot from the hip as I was trying to make my way away from her. The camera was set to Auto and went into Portrait-mode.
