What a difference a day makes. In the high country of the Colorado Rockies the lines between the seasons easily get blurred: In the morning it feels like summer just to give way to snow and winter conditions by the afternoon. Just like the attached image - of Mount Herard in the Sangre de Cristo range of Southern Cololrado - which basically has three seasons in one single photo: Summerlike temperatures the day before and a lot of the trees still green, yet quite a few aspens in the higher elevations are already displaying their radiant golden colors of fall - when suddenly over night a cold weather system changed the entire scenery into a winter wonderland with plenty of fresh powder and billowing snow clouds all the way into the valley.
