I was initially disappointed with the lack of clouds during sunset at this amazing location at Corona del Mar, California. However, I was able to use my 10 stop nd filter to slow the shutter down to 1/2 second at F5.6 and 1600 ISO to get the smooth water motion. While I was doing this, I noticed some people climbing the arch to go cliff jumping and I took off my nd filter at took another shot at F7 at 1/800 sec at ISO 100 to freeze the cliff jumper in midair with good focus. I loved the story of the great outdoors in the cliff jumpig picture and the surreal beauty of the location in the other, so I merged them together to make a picture I feel tells a story of the great outdoors that you couldn't tell in one photo alone.
Camera: Nikon D750
