This butte is located in Chaco Culture National Historical Park which is a World Heritage site. It was used as a solstice marker by the Anasazi Indians.
It was taken with a Sony SLT-A57, Aperture priority, f16 @ 1/1250 sec and a focal length of 35mm. It was converted to black and white using Corel Paintshop X6 using the BW high clarify effect.
