Yesterday, as I walked among the aftermath of the 2013 Doce wildland fire in Prescott, Arizona, the sky became so cloudy and hazy that it created what I believe is called a "sundog," a halo around the sun, which silhouetted the burnt trees in the foreground, charred remnants of their former selves.
