I was photographing birds feeding in Estero lagoon one morning. This reddish egret (in beautiful breeding colors) grabbed a pipefish in its beak, but then decided that it didn't want pipefish for breakfast. Fortunately I was shooting a burst of frames and fast shutter speed, and thus captured this "moment." This shot was captured using a Canon 500mm f4 Mk II lens, 1.4x Mk II TC, and a 5Ds R body.
