I was driving down a dirt road when I saw this hawk circling in the sky, so I pulled the car over and got out and began shooting. While I was photographing the hawk in flight he developed a greater interest in me than what he had been circling and flew over and began circling above my head. I continued shooting, but then a bigger hawk chased him away and started checking me out for dinner. I took a few shots of the second hawk then left. The photo is a composite of the 1st hawk and landscape from Arches National Park. I hand held a Nikon D850 and a Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 lens for this shot. The shutter and focus were set on continuous and the settings were 1/1000 sec., f/11, 500mm focal length and ISO 200.
