Elf owl sleeping in a granary tree created by acorn woodpeckers in Portal, Arizona. I made a composite of two exposures, one of the tree and one of the owl to get this shot. The woodpeckers stuff acorns in the holes to save for leaner times. How the owl gets any sleep I'll never know.
