I was photographing birds at Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge in Knotts Island North Carolina, when this Egret caught my eye. While preening, I noticed that his neck appeared to mimic that of the bend in the pine tree. This shot was taken with a Canon 7D and a 70 -300 lens at 300mm, F/5.6, 1/1250, ISO 250. The photo was later finished in Lightroom using the basic, tone curves, details, lens correction and effects tools. William Miller
