While watching a bunch of nesting great egrets at Gatorland in Florida, I spotted this one. There was a lot of commotion going on but he just kept on preening his feathers. I liked the way that the warm morning light brushed across its feathers and caught its eye! This image was taken with a Canon 7D Mark II and an EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L II lens at 400mm, f/8, 1/2000 sec, and ISO 400.
