Walking the trails at Kensington Metropark in the Detroit area during spring almost guarantees an encounter with Sandhill Cranes. They are seemingly oblivious to humans. Here I found a pair of Cranes (a second adult is out of the frame) with their young chick. I kept my distance, but watched as the parents placed food for the chick. The reflection in the puddle was just a fortuitous bonus! Shot with a Canon 6D Tamron SP 150-600 (original) at 450 mm, 1/400 sec at f9, ISO 250. Minor modifications in Lightroom.
