This 100-ton Heisler locomotive, built in 1929, spent its adult life in the mountains of West Virginian hauling red spruce logs to the Cass lumber mill. The lighter tones of the vegetation highlight and contrast the darker tones of the locomotive. The image was gently processed in Capture One 9.1, with Aurora HDR Pro, and finished with Silver Efex Pro 2. Fujifilm X-T1, XF 18-135mm, ISO 320, 1/100 sec, f/4, 22mm, handheld. Tom Carroll
