Image captured while on a Photography tour to Costa Rica with Jeffrey Muñoz in the fall of 2018. Collared Araçari frequented the lodge every morning, flying in in small flocks to take advantage of the fruit the lodge set out for the many birds in the area. I captured this Araçari just as he flipped some plantain into the air and caught it, tongue hanging out. Captured with a Canon 6D and Tamron SP 150-600mm VC G2 lens at 552mm 1/250 sec at f7.1, ISO 2000. Cropped and edited in LR Classic and Photoshop CC, minor adjustments to highlights, shadows, color.
