This is Beavertail lighthouse taken in December when the sky was on fire and the clouds were radiating toward me. It is located on the tip of the island of Jamestown, RI and has been a popular photographic area for years; morning and evening are possible for shooting because of its location. This was taken with a Canon 5D Mark III, with a 17-40mm L lens and a 3 stop graduated ND filter, plus a circular polarizer; this resulted in slowing down the waves of the ocean to a point that it appealed to me.
