The South African, or Cape Buffalo, is not related to either the Asian or American buffalo. These fellows get extremely large--up to a ton+--and very dangerous. It is estimated that they gore and kill over 200 people every year. Photographed him from about 5 feet away, capturing him framed between two saplings. Gear: Fuji XT-2, 100-400mm lens @159mm, 1/2000 sec., F5.6, ISO 6400,
