I personally love the intimate shots of landscape photography. These types of images are not for everyone. The photographer finds beauty in small areas by using tight compositions, leading lines and color or contrast.
In this image I waited for the sun to set giving the currents of the Salt River in Arizona a fantastic glow and cool shadows, using just a long enough shutter speed gives it some life.
