Curious Pika

My favorite shot from this weekend, and it was one of my last shots too!!!! Watching him run along the rocks, lost him for a minute, and out he comes from under the rock right in front of me! Stopped just long enough for 2 quick shots! No goats, not many marmots or Pika in the last 3 days on Mt Evans. Not sure why or what was going on. We stopped at one of the usual spots for Marmots, and WOW we had a few PIKA come very close to us... about 10-12 just running every which way along the rocks, scurrying back and forth to the grassy areas, foraging and calling out to each other. It was hilarious!! Best PIKA adventure ever, and totally unexpected, even with the brief hail storm. Awesome!!! LOVE MY COLORADO MOUNTAINS!
