The Adelie penguins were photographed along the shore of Brown Bluff, Antarctica, with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 70-300 mm VR lens at 90 mm. Exposure was f/11 and 1/3200 sec. The original image was essentially monochromatic, so there was no major change when it was converted to black & white with Nik Silver Effex Pro 2. Image by Irwin H. Segel.
