This is a view in the interior of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. I was drawn to this image because the solitude of it seemed to give the feeling of the ancient times of Rome. The perspective, the mirrored structures, and the dramatic lighting all figured into what might make a nice monochrome image.

The image was shot with a Nikon D700 and a Sigma 17-35 mm lens. Yhe settings were f/8. 1/500 second , and ISO 500.The conversion to monochrome was done in Photoshop CC with some local editing to enhance the image.
