I made this photo on a quick trip to the Great Smoky Mountain Park a few weeks ago in mid October. I originally planned a two day trip to Asheville, NC to get some fall color on the Blue Ridge Parkway but the weather didn't cooperate (heavy rain and complete lack of visibility). After a day, I scooted over to SM Park in the lower elevations where I was able to spend a few hours in the creeks along New Found Gap road.
