I enjoy all types of photography, but food photography is one of my favorites. I try to challenge myself with my photography and try new methods I haven't used before. This was my first attempt at capturing a food subject in motion. Because this was a difficult photo to shoot by myself, I enlisted the help of my husband and son to pour coffee and sprinkle powdered sugar simultaneously while I took the shot. I used a lighter background behind the coffee, but also used a dark box behind the cookies to capture the sprinkled sugar in motion.
I used a Nikon D3200 camera with my favorite Tamron 18-270mm lens @ 55mm for the shot and converted the image to B&W.
