I created this at a recent dining experience in Las Vegas. Being in such an intimate, public place, I didn't want to distract other diners by using a flash, so I made the most of what I could with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and high ISO. This is probably the best image that I was able to capture, which I used to create a sense of anticipation about the meal to come. The shallow DOF mimics the narrow focus of the mood, where the room and surroundings fall away to focus on the forthcoming meal ...
