This beautiful female cardinal appeared to be sunning herself as she tilted her head back to catch some rays. It was a cold and blustery February day in northern Illinois and she seemed to be soaking in the warm sunshine.

I shot this through my dining room window, using a Canon 7D Mark II with EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens. Settings were ISO 500, f/8, 1/400 sec.
