I like to capture both the macro view and the micro view in one shot. I use a silver Christmas Ball in this picture to capture 180 degree of the snowy scene and the icicles in the foreground to give it a really cold feeling. My reflection in the Christmas ball, dressed for winter seems to add to the feeling of coldness.
