We have had an amazing amount of Aurora Borealis activity recently and I wasn't going to go out and shoot the northern lights this night because it was fairly windy and there was a bit of cloud cover. I went hoping it would clear up and the wind would settle, which it did... but my favourite shot of the night was the one with the clouds in it! A little bit of light pollution adds to the colour of the sky as well. Glad I went out, even if the weather didn't play nice at the start of the evening! Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24 2.8 lens at 15mm, F/2.8, ISO 3200, 15 second exposure. Sherry Christensen.
