We were staying at Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in Lake Clark NP. One morning we went to Bird Island to photograph Puffins...this sea otter was hanging around just offshore, diving for food and then staying on the surface. He was not shy and we were able to have some quality time with him, photographing his behavior. Equipment was Nikon D4s, Nikon 600 f/4 with a Nikon 1.4 Teleconverter; settings were f/5.6, 1/2500 sec., ISO2200.
