This scene just developed on its own while taking shots at the setting sun. The title of course is speculation however one can easily create the story. The 'father's' fingers are visible even with the long distance shooting and it makes that inviting scenario more plausible. This was taken with a 500mm Tokina SZ reflex lense (hence the rings in the bokah) with a Canon T6s, f8, shutter speed not documented. This style of lense allows long telephoto with an extremely lightweight package. Tripod used for this shot as no image stabilization built in. The reflex lense is not for everyday however has its moments.
