I came across this large bull elk grazing in an open field and for the obvious reason (the one antler) he caught my attention. I looked at him and began to wonder if he was shedding them or if he had been in a fight and they broke off. I came to the conclusion that he was probably more deadly now with the one impaling, pointy antler than with the full rack. He could go right through a little easier. I kept a pretty good distance thinking of that and when he noticed me and raised up I casually grabbed this shot of him. Once he saw I wasn't a threat he ignored me and let me do my thing before wondering off into the woods.
