One of my favorite views in the Smoky's is a very uncommon one. In-fact, unless your a Tail of the Dragon junkie you probably never even seen this place. This view of Calderwood Dam never gets advertised by the park service because it's on the backside of the park. There is a whole large area the park actually completely ignored by the NPS. 90% of the visitors to the park stay on Newfound Gap Rd. and the Road to Cades Cove and actually miss out on some incredible views.
